People go to mandirs
Wishing to send water and sweets
To long dead forefathers
and mothers
Dressed in their festive bests
They buy
Milk, sugar and fruit
Magnanimously they spend
For the long dead.
A few do it out of shraddha
And a few out of fear
Some to get blessings,
From those who,
Died of neglect.
